Everyday Hypnosis

  • They say that all hypnosis is self hypnosis, i.e. you have to accept and expect the hypnotist to hypnotise you.  I don’t bother to hypnotise anyone who challenges me with something like “You can’t hypnotise me” because they will clearly fight it and do their best to prove me wrong.  So if all hypnosis is self hypnosis, wouldn’t follow that you can use this wonderful natural state of relaxation in everyday situations?

    Every client that retains my services is taught self hypnosis.  More importantly they are taught what to do with it and how to use it in everyday situations.  You could almost say that being able to do this on a daily basis becomes a way of life and a very productive, positive way of life at that.

    Consider a very stressful day at work.  Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to come home, take half an hour for yourself and properly relax?  Let all the stresses of the day simply melt away.  Or perhaps you become anxious in certain situations.  You recognize the situations for what they are but try as you might you can’t seem to shake the worries through rational cognitive thinking.  Re-framing of  negative thought to the positive whilst in hypnotic state has a wonderful way of relieving such anxieties as cognitive rationalisation and the critical factor of the mind do not interfere.  The deeper sub-conscious mind just accepts the positive suggestion.

    Learning how to do these things for yourself on a daily basis really does have a positive impact on your life.  All you have to do is learn how, then you’ll fly!
